Cyber Crop

These are some of the layouts I worked on for the UKS cyber crop. I really enjoyed the destress class by MJM I will use that technique again. The christmas one drove me mad, it took me ages and it is not the way it is supposed to be but I think it wirked out ok.

sketch challenge

Pencil Lines challenged us to use Hebe Ambler's sketch. There is always a good challenge on this site.
These photos have been sitting around for a year waiting to be scrapped. Houssem and his friends love music and it was a rare treat to get to see one of there country men for free at the Dun Laoghaire Festival of world cultures, last August. The green and red alphas are from an alpha swap that I was in a while back!

2 Challenges

Pencil Lines got Ifa Zainon, to provided this weeks sketch. The waterfall is my attempt at this challenge. Ifa is one of my team members on UKS, she is very talented and i enjoyed using her sketch!

I also had a go at Black Magics first fortnightly challenge. You are required to produce a layout using:
August sketch no 1, the technique of distressing, predominantly black and a combinations of the colours featured in Augusts palette. I used a picture of my great aunt, my grandad and little me, i was a flower girl at my uncle and Aunts wedding, the floral paper is similar to the pattern on the dress I wore!

Scrap the worst photo of yourself

Mary B has a challenge on her blog, scrap a picture of you when you look awful. Well I had no problems finding a photo, but am i brave enough to show the lo ha ha, watch this space! check the link to her blog and give it a go I dare you!

Mojo!

This is my first lo of my family album. I used the mojo challenge to help me. They have a lovely site with lots of challenges, there is a link on the right.

This is my granny and I in her garden in 1976, I miss her she was a good friend.

I found 2 excellent sites for buying stash and they are based in ireland. Craft factory and the scrapbook store, the links are on the side. Its much easier to shop when its in euros, oh and dangerous ha ha. But it is nice not to have to wait so long for the goddies to arrive. Im spending a fortune, but i was warned when i started all this!

All about eve 2 & 3

This DLO is for a challenge from the All About Eve Blog (see link on the right). its a fantastic blog the lo in the gallery are beautiful. i just found it on a UKS forum today dont know how i missed it they have a great design team. Back to the challenge its about escape,

I couldint think what I do to escape from it all but then I remembered, I like to watch satc to get away from it all now and again. Just got season 1-6 on DVD. So to escape i go to Manhattan with the girls lol. I hope they make a film. I actually printed the Manhattan sky line out in b&w but the printer decided it wanted to be pink today, and it turned out so did I.

Loved doing the challenge have decided to continue with the challenges and make a journal of them.

I did 2 dlo's tonight for all about eve. The second one is about my age shhhhhhh dont tell. I have a picture of me age 2 and one now.

UKS monthly house challenge.

I used outline stickers drew over them with oil pastel and then removed the stickers for the home title. A hambley overlay in the corner and tipex for the doodle flowers up the side. I dont like the picture of me at all, but it is the only one I have of the three of us.
