great flower there - I made some of these years ago using regular Kleenex type tissues in pretty colours. Cut or tear the tissue in half, "stack" them up then proceed as you've done - maybe add a little ink to the raw edges. Once they are fluffed up they are a bit like carnations and look really pretty
